Golden Cariboo Resources Launches Autumn Drilling Campaign at Quesnelle Gold Property

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has initiated its autumn surface drilling campaign at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property, located approximately 4 kilometers northeast of Hixon, British Columbia. This exploration phase aims to extend the gold bearing Halo and Main zones' strike length from nearly 600 meters to 2 kilometers adjacent to the black argillite-greenstone contact, building on the success of earlier programs detailed in their September 9, 2025 news release available at https://goldencariboo.com. Cheryl Reid brings 20 years of experience in mineral exploration across Canada, with expertise in VMS and Archean greenstone belt hosted orogenic gold projects. Catherine Banfield contributes 20 years of international and domestic experience in polymetallic mineral exploration and mining projects, offering valuable insight into structural interpretation and geological modeling. The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property represents a significant opportunity in a historically productive region, bordered by Osisko Development and located along a favorable geological corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults over a 94,899 hectare area. The property includes the Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, discovered in 1865 and developed over a footprint of about 150m x 150m at the Main zone straddling Hixon Creek. The geological setting shows strong similarities with the Spanish Mountain gold deposit, situated 120 km southeast along the same geological trend.

As a sediment-hosted vein deposit, the Spanish Mountain deposit belongs to the epizonal orogenic subclass of gold deposits that include world-class operations such as Muruntau in Uzbekistan and Bendigo in Australia. Historically, over 101 placer gold creeks on the 90-kilometer trend from the Cariboo Hudson mine north to the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property have recorded production, with successful placer mining continuing to present day. The current drilling campaign represents the latest chapter in rediscovering the Cariboo Gold Rush through targeted drilling and trenching programs on this strategically important property.
