LaFleur Minerals Expands Swanson Gold Project to Become Major Abitibi Belt Player

LaFleur Minerals Inc. has substantially expanded its exploration footprint in Quebec's prolific Abitibi Gold Belt through the strategic staking of 32 additional mineral claims. This expansion brings the Swanson Project to a total of 18,304 hectares across 445 claims and one mining lease, representing one of the largest consolidated land positions in the region. The expanded project now covers over 33 kilometres of strike length along a major structural break that hosts multiple known gold deposits and showings.

According to company CEO Paul Ténière, this consolidation significantly enhances the discovery potential of the project. The technical team has been integrating historical exploration data from previous operators including Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining with new geophysical and geochemical datasets to define compelling drilling targets. The company has received all required permits to advance what Ténière describes as one of the most exciting exploration and drilling campaigns in the region.

The fully funded, data-driven drilling program represents a major step forward in testing the mineral potential of this consolidated land package. The strategic expansion not only increases the project's scale but also enhances its development potential through direct road access to several nearby gold mills. The Swanson Gold Project's accessibility and proximity to processing infrastructure, including LaFleur's own Beacon Gold Mill capable of processing over 750 tonnes per day, provides significant operational advantages.

The mill is being considered for processing mineralized material from Swanson as well as for custom milling operations for other nearby gold projects, creating additional revenue opportunities. This expansion comes at a time when the mining industry is increasingly focused on district-scale projects in established mining jurisdictions like the Abitibi Belt. The consolidation of historically fragmented land packages represents a growing trend among exploration companies seeking to maximize discovery potential through comprehensive data integration and systematic exploration approaches.
