First Phosphate Corp's ongoing 25,000-meter drill program at the Bégin-Lamarche project in Quebec continues to demonstrate substantial phosphate mineralization across multiple zones, with 16,435 meters drilled to date and assays returned from 5,642 meters. The comprehensive exploration effort has revealed impressive phosphate concentrations throughout the project area, with particularly strong results emerging from the Phosphate Mountain Zone where drill hole BL-24-48 intersected 15.01% P2O5 over 7.65 meters from a depth of 36.9 meters, including an exceptional 31.24% P2O5 over 1.1 meters. Additional drilling in this zone produced core results exceeding 30% apatite, indicating high-grade phosphate mineralization.
The Northern Zone has also demonstrated robust phosphate potential with drill hole BL-24-36 intersecting 6.83% P2O5 over an extensive 108.0 meters starting at 234.0 meters depth, while drill hole BL-24-44 revealed 7.48% P2O5 over 90.6 meters from 192.4 meters depth. These consistent results across substantial intervals suggest the presence of large, continuous phosphate-bearing formations. The Northwestern Zone contributed additional promising data with drill hole BL-24-49 intersecting 8.65% P2O5 over 33.0 meters from 72.5 meters depth, further expanding the known mineralized areas.
Perhaps most significantly, the Southern Zone has shown exceptional large tonnage potential with drill hole BL-24-43 intersecting 5.41% P2O5 over 258.0 meters from 111.0 meters depth. This extensive mineralization interval represents one of the longest continuous phosphate intersections reported in recent exploration activities and suggests the potential for substantial resource development. The consistent results across multiple zones and the wide distribution of mineralization indicate that the Bégin-Lamarche project hosts a substantial phosphate system with potential for significant economic development.
The successful drilling results come at a critical time as global demand for phosphate continues to grow, driven by agricultural needs for fertilizer production and emerging applications in battery technologies. First Phosphate Corp's exploration success at Bégin-Lamarche positions the company to potentially contribute to North America's strategic mineral supply chain. The project's location in Quebec provides additional advantages given the province's established mining infrastructure and supportive regulatory environment for mineral development. These encouraging results validate the company's exploration strategy and underscore the significant phosphate potential of the Bégin-Lamarche project, potentially positioning it as an important future source of this critical mineral.
