Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. reported significant gold intercepts from diamond drilling at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property near Hixon, British Columbia. The company intersected 0.42 grams per tonne gold over 47.01 meters from surface in drill hole QGQ25-25, within a broader anomalous interval of 0.26 g/t Au over 190.2 meters. Additional mineralization was found deeper in the same hole, including 0.76 g/t gold over 20.45 meters from 324.88 meters depth, with the hole ending in mineralization yielding 1.00 g/t gold over 1.91 meters.
The drill hole represents a step-out in the Halo zone, with the collar positioned 96 meters north-northeast of previous hole QGQ24-20, which returned 0.99 g/t Au and 9.77 g/t Ag over 236.88 meters. Another hole, QGC25-28, located 80 meters north of QGQ25-25, is currently being extended to target depth and has intersected extensive quartz-carbonate veins. The company maintains that its infrastructure and proximity to Hixon allows for year-round drilling operations in Central British Columbia.
Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Resources, stated the company continues to drive forward with intersections of mineralization from surface, extending the deposit along strike at the Halo zone. The company's location within the Cariboo Gold Corridor positions it for continued exploration activity throughout the year. Drill core samples were sent to the accredited MSALABS laboratory in Prince George for analysis. Samples underwent crushing to greater than 70% passing below 2 mm before being split using a riffle splitter, with 250g splits pulverized to greater than 85% passing below 75 microns. Analysis included a 35-element aqua regia digest with inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy finish on 0.5g aliquots. PhotonAssay analysis was conducted for gold and silver using 250-500g samples, providing more thorough assessment of gold distribution in coarse gold settings characteristic of the Halo zone, where nugget effects can impact conventional assay results.

The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property is located 4 kilometers northeast of Hixon and road accessible, with historical mining activity dating back to 1865. The property shows geological similarities to the Spanish Mountain gold deposit situated 120 kilometers southeast along the same geological trend.
