Opawica Explorations Reports Significant Gold Mineralization at Bazooka Property

Opawica Explorations has reported substantial progress in its 2025 exploration campaign at the Bazooka Property, revealing promising gold mineralization within the renowned Abitibi Gold Belt. The company's recent drilling efforts have produced significant findings, including a broad 76-meter mineralized zone discovered at depths between 285 and 361 meters. This extensive mineralization zone represents a major development in the ongoing exploration of this historically productive region.

During the comprehensive drilling program, the exploration team successfully completed ten diamond drill holes totaling 2,000 meters and submitted 610 core samples for detailed assay analysis. A particularly notable discovery was the observation of visible gold in drill hole OP-25-33 at a depth of 348.5 meters, accompanied by consistent occurrences of arsenopyrite, fuchsite, and quartz veining. These mineralogical indicators provide strong evidence of the property's gold-bearing potential and suggest the presence of a robust mineralized system.

The strategic significance of the Bazooka property lies in its location along the Cadillac-Larder Lake break/fault, recognized as one of the world's most prolific auriferous structures. This major geological feature marks the boundary between the Archean Abitibi subprovince and the predominantly metasedimentary Pontiac subprovince, creating ideal conditions for mineral deposition and accumulation. Geological interpretations conducted by the exploration team suggest prospective panels trending east-west with a steep northward dip, constrained within the Cadillac shear zone. This 150-meter-wide corridor of altered and schistosed ultramafic units forms a distinctive Z-shape asymmetric drag fold in the Bazooka historic mine area. The exploration team's methodical approach, utilizing co-occurrence of selected exploration criteria in drill hole data, has provided valuable insights into the region's structural and mineralization patterns.
